maldives-male

We arrived in the Maldives at about 9pm. Unfortunately our lugguage didn't arrive in time as we were on a connecting flight from Shanghai. We only had a one hour transit time at the Singapore airport. Due to a delay at take off at Shanghai, we only had about 20min to change flight. We ran from one aero-bridge to the other. Our lugguge fail to catch up with us. Hahaha.

To make up to us, Singapore Airlines gave us about 75USD each for the mishap.

We stayed in male city for two nights. We spent the following day seeing the town on foot. The island/town is small. We covered the whole place in a couple of hours. The fruits and fish produce are really HUGE!. the fishes are as big as Fang!

China Suzhou

It took us about an hour to Suzhou from Shanghai. The place is kinda peaceful. It's like the Eastern version of Venice. There are many waterways, and houses were built alongside the rivers.

China ZheJiang - Pu Tuo Shan

We can take a speedboat or slow ferry direct from Shanghai staight to Pu Tou Shan(home of Godness of Mercy). But we decide to go via land so that we can soak in the sights along the way. This will take us about 2-3 longer, but it was worth the travel. This Shen Jia Men ferry terminal this is the last stop on mainland china where we have to transfer onto a ferry to get to the island

This is the place in China where Godness of Mercy first step foot on when arrive from India

China Ningbo- HeMuDu remains

From the little village in Ningbo, we took a ferry across to see the remains left from 7000 years ago. The poles sticking out of the ground were the same ones that ancient houses were built on.

Ningbo - village

This "cresent" villge is hidden in the valleys of Yuyao,NingBo.

Here, villager still washes their clothes by the river

phuket-Patong Beach

The infamous Patong Beach- the most popular and hence the most crowded beach in Phuket. The beach is full of activities- parasurfing, jetsking, massage, local families and foreign sunbathers all in one.
One of the things that interest Fang was the topless female Caucasians walking about with their swinging bobbies in full view. Thailand is an Asian country and is primarily Buddhist; I was told walking about topless(like vice activities) may be torlerated but it does not mean that the locals accept it.
Fang naughtily took out our DC and snapped a topless sunbather in all her glory. However we masked the vital part to protect the identity of the innocent lady! hahaha
